White Slaves (1937)
Amid the Russian Revolution of 1917, a mutiny aboard the battleship Sevastopol helps revolutionary forces seize control of the port city. Maria, the daughter of the deposed governor, struggles to protect her family and reunite with her lover while a ruthless former servant, now a revolutionary commissar, pursues her. A dramatic blend of romance, naval action, and revolutionary violence, this 1937 Nazi propaganda film presents the upheaval through an intensely anti-communist perspective.
