Ride a Crooked Trail (1958)
After a bank robbery goes wrong, fugitive Joe Maybe is mistaken for a famed U.S. Marshal and forced to play the role of a respected lawman in a tight-knit town. The charade grows dangerously complex when his former flame unexpectedly surfaces, forcing them to pose as a happily married couple while navigating a growing bond with a local orphan boy. As his old criminal gang prepares to strike the town bank, Joe must decide whether to betray his past or protect the noble life he never knew he wanted.
